A smile - no other human expression can come close to equaling its power or importance. Having the self-confidence to smile openly and honestly is absolutely essential to a healthy lifestyle - nothing is more important for making a positive first impression. Whether for business or in a social setting, a strong and healthy smile makes others perceive you as confident and successful. Smiling radiates empathy and understanding making those around you feel more relaxed and comfortable.
It was approaching midnight in Tianjin. I was sitting on my couch, staring at my laptop, searching for a creative spark. Unfortunately, a blank screen was looking back at me and my eyelids were beginning to droop. The deadline for this issue of Network HR was approaching and I was determined to make some headway. However, despite spending four hours toiling away, I simply could not find inspiration. Feeling spent and frustrated I shut down my computer and went to bed. Thankfully, the next morning I had an epiphany. After eight hours of unbroken slumber my creativity was reignited and I was infinitely more productive.
After
graduating with a great degree from a prestigious university, you enter the
cutthroat world of the modern Chinese job market. You send out hundreds of
resumes and drag yourself around countless recruitment fares before you finally
land your ‘dream job'. It is a good position in a well-respected multinational

Synchronicity for Success
A single droplet of sweat trickled down my neck as the glowing amber sun beat down on us. I glanced out of the corner of my eye and saw our competitors lined up alongside us. War, what is it good for?
I believe I can bring the War for Talent to a peaceful end. I came to this realisation two
months ago after I was invited to present at the ‘Corporate Travel and Technology
World' conference in Shanghai. The topic, "Selecting Potential Leaders and Turning a Company from Good to Great", was
provided some months earlier, giving me time to source opinions from
around China. Read More
