I am currently conducting research for a Network HR article and would like to pick the brains of the HR community.
Event management is my ‘thing’. I have always enjoyed organising events and parties from before I could even write my own name. During school and university my extra-curricular activities always revolved around event planning, my further studies were marketing and events _base_d, my first marketing role was as an event manager and now, within ClarkMorgan, I spend my days hatching plans for new NHR events.
However, marketing and event management isn’t just in my blood, it is also something that I have studied in-depth, and have become qualified in, through CIM and other sources.
As an HR manager, event management is part of your daily role, but not necessarily something you’ve been trained in. Nor is it, necessarily, in your blood. So where do you learn your skills and where do you start when planning your first Family Day, Christmas Party, or Recruitment Day?
I would appreciate some answers to the following questions:
1) How many HR events do you plan (or assist in planning) every year?
2) What types of events are these? (Recruitment/ PR & Marketing/ Family / Christmas / Others?)
3) Have you ever had any event disasters? (Please give details)
4) How have you improved your skills in this area?
Many thanks for your help. I plan to offer some guidance in event planning for non-marketers in the near future.

I used to attend, plan and assist planning some events, and I realize that a fully-prepared event is a successful event.

1/ Topic activity to specific group with the same hobbies or positions, then they can share more with each other, meantime, we also can know more about our clients. 2/ Outdoor activities is much better to motivate the attendees to join in and show themselves.
