Q. Why did you choose to work in HR?

It is a business close to people and I feel satisfied seeing people developed around me.

Q. What is your greatest HR achievement?

Our HR team hired the first 1,000th employee after two years, between 2006 and 2008. What’s better is that five years on 99% of the managers are still

here working happily.

Q. What are the most important qualities of an HR professional?

Be brave to keep doing what you think is right, and always do things the right way the first time.

Q. Which quality do you look for when recruiting for team members?

Attitude and values. You can train and coach people to fill their capability gap, but you cannot change attitude easily, and it’s nearly impossible to change

a person’s values.

Q. Where do you see yourself in 10 years time?

I will keep working in HR field in the future, while my son will go to the university in the next 10 years. I do hope we both have a fruitful 10 years.

Q. Where do you think HR will be in 10 years time?

The working environment inChinahas improved, but there is still room to improve further. The employer needs to respect the rights of the employee,

while at the same time, the employee needs to be more responsible in their job.

Q. What’s your motto?

Where there is a will, there is a way.
